Tsunamis are one of the most destructive forces in nature. Dr. Tamie Jovanelly, an assistant professor of Geology at Berry College is an expert on these devastating events.

Dr. Jovanelly will discuss the causes of tsunamis and the strategies to develop advance warning systems for the Indian Ocean region.

The lecture is free for members and included in the cost of museum admission for non-members.

Museum galleries will remain open until the start of the lecture.
